Dock "Tools" wherever user wants in all 3 desktop apps.

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I really wish I could dock the "Tools" to the right of the screen: either to the left of Right Studio or to its right (basically at the right edge of the screen).. or even horizontally at the top.
To me it is a big annoyance when using the Affinity suite that the only choice is docked as it is now or undocked (I don't like undocked anything usually).

I would imagine it is annoying for many right-handed people.. a decent number of people are right handed no ?!!

Yep, this is a MASSIVE annoyance to me. Having controls that you use all the time at opposite sides of the screen doesn't make any sense, and neither does having a floating palette of a completely different type to the others that can only dock in once place. Wouldn't it be easier to code for a single type of panel module that can be placed anywhere - in tabs, docked left or right etc., and maybe add additional features to that code that can be switch on or off depending on the requirements of the content type, so for instance the tool bar, which is just icons, could be allowed to dock and arrange horizontally at the top or bottom as well.
