I'm having a problem exporting an inferred LUT. Tried everything I can think of, to no positive avail.

I created an inferred LUT that does precisely what I want it to do. So far, so good. I can save it as an adjustment, and applying it produces the same results as the original inferred LUT. Fine, so far. But, I want to export it so I can send a .cube file to a friend, another AP user, for him to use. No dice. Exporting the LUT goes without a hitch, but when I apply the newly exported one, the results are wildly different from the inferred LUT. I read in another thread that a user solved a different problem buy applying the LUT, and re-exporting it, his theory being that the LUT was "inverted." I tried it, and got identical results.

As a stopgap, I can send him the two files from which the iLUT was created, and he can do it himself, but that seems rather a brute force approach.

So, what's going on? It seems impossible to export an inferred LUT. Is there a reason for this? Is it a bug? Am I misunderstanding what "Export LUT" means? I've exported adjustments as a LUT, and that seemed to work fine, but this vexes me. Any hope? Known issue? Anyone want to fill a fellow in on the arcane and secret vagaries of why an iLUT can't be exported? Film at eleven? Enquring minds want to know!

Hi glplease and Welcome to the Forums,

This is a known issue and has been resolved in the latest beta.  The LUTs had been getting inverted when exported out of Affinity.

Not sure if your on Windows or Mac but you can find the beta in this section of the Forums.
