Help needed with User Interface additions

Recommended Posts

That’s the Context toolbar. It’s enabled by default, but if it got turned off for any reason you should be able to re-enable it via the View menu.

Thanks Alfred. I did figure that part out. Between my post and your reply I did some further research online. I think I got confused over assuming that an "always available or user generated toolbar" could somehow be achieved by adding buttons to the context toolbar. What I discovered from my internet searching is that the context toolbar changes it's interface determined by which tool is selected. Kind of sounds like a good idea if a user could create their own toolbar. That said, I fully understand - and gladly accept, that I need to once again adopt to Affinity structure. Thanks for replying Alfred.

That would be a good idea. Serif’s legacy ‘Plus’ applications allow you to do this.

You can add buttons to other toolbars, just not the Context toolbar (which, as its name suggests, changes according to the context). I imagine it would be quite tricky to allow custom additions to the Context toolbar, given that it’s effectively a different toolbar for each context.

Yeah, . . . I think I'll just teach myself to be in acceptance of an already well designed program, learn AP as it is, and not try to reinvent the wheel. :D:D
