Hector Leon
- Text sizes are in document units... and every time I have to setup text size I have to change document unit to pt...... when i finish to edit my text, then I have to go back to document setup and set back to inches, or cm.... or px...... this is so annoying! Please let us to decide the text size unit separated from document unit. (Preferences->Interface) Text in Points - When I try to export a jpg file from a cmyk document, I have to change the color space to RGB in document setup and then export... when file is exported, I set back to cmyk my document..... Please let us to change the color space in export..... - In corner tool please let us to bake only a selected corner. - In node tool please let us to select a segment with a single click - in node tools please let us to divide segments with nodes, so when I select a segment and divide it a new node is placed in the middle - in node tools please let us to decide the next new node type so if I create a new node this node can be directly sharp(corner), smooth(bezier) or smart - In node tools let us to delete segments - In transform let us to apply proportional transformations... double...triple... four times... five times...... - Instant duplicate on transform... within transform's process you can place a duplicate if you press space or a predefined key for this function - Simple mirror in with transform, let us to take an object from a side to other to mirror it Regards
Hokusai
Hector, Are you using the Mac App Store version or the Beta? In the Beta you can use Points for Text Sizes. Except for making a duplicate (which you can do with an extra keystroke, command + J), doesn't "flip" left, right, horizontally, vertically and this does the same thing as "mirror"? As well, currently if using the Node tool if I select multiple nodes I can delete them, is this different than deleting a segment?

ronnyb
Hector, regarding your first question, text in points, there is a Preference for that, under User Interface tab, the third checkbox is labeled Show Text in Points, which is what you're asking for. The second one is also convenient as well, Show Lines in Points. These two let you set those units independently from the documents units. Regarding your third point, check out this thread, I already suggested something similar to this but haven't heard back yet... Regarding your fourth point, I totally agree. It's a bit cumbersome the way it works now. I wish we could use the Node tool to select segments of a path between points a be able to delete with one keystroke, like in Illustrator using the Direct Selection tool (white arrow). 1) I mean Points as unit size instead inches or centimeters..... not as action like point and drag.. 2) Imagine you are doing a forest or an organic pattern and you need to place quickly an object... you can drag.. and while dragging the object when you press space you leave an stamp or clone..--- this is a time save feature --- 3) Yes you can do these steps... first duplicate the object, then click on the flip tool and select your decided orientation... but for time saving I suggest that make possible in transform if you press shift or command key while drag the object from a side to the opposite side the object flips from the oposited side as pivot with no needs to do several steps another implementation is like it but pressing shift and command and the object flips from its center 4 I work very much with affinity..... to make several type of design... logos, press.. i'm triying yo use as much as i can.... but when i try to divide a node the result is two nodes in same place...... make this simple task: a) draw a square B) in a side segment insert two nodes.... c) delete the new segment between the new two nodes only with node tools steps I need to do for that.... draw the square, in the side segment insert news two nodes, then break them.... unselect the object and select the segment... now delete it...... too many steps for a simple task....... Dave Harris
The Show Text in Points Preference is in the Mac App Store version too. The bug here is that it's off by default. It should be on by default. Nearly everyone wants text in points. It'll be fixed in the next beta.
Hokusai
Hector, Thanks for clarifying. I didn't realise from your first post that you were talking about Boolean operations, sorry. I thought you were talking about something else. Good suggestions. I think that #2 in your list would be symbols, wouldn't it? I believe that Symbols is on the Roadmap to be add sometime in the future.

I'm talking about duplicating or flipping while you are transforming.. with this feature you'll can duplicate the object while you are moving it or scaling it or rotating it.....
