Do you know of a reason why the contents of the C:\Windows\Installer directory may have been modified/deleted?  I.E. Manually deleting the files there to save space on an SSD, or maybe a third-party file/registry cleaning program deleting files there?

If you go to that directory by pasting C:\Windows\Installer in the Windows File Explorer address bar and hovering the mouse cursor over the msi files, is there an msi file for Affinity Designer there?

Hi xrosax and Welcome to the Forums,

This is the error in the log files: The older version of Affinity Designer cannot be removed.  Contact your technical support group.

As @- S - has helpfully pointed out, this normally happens when a system cleanup utility removed our MSI file that we use.

If you can download and run this from Microsoft:

https://support.microsoft.com/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed

When asked for a Product code enter:

9CD72A9C-EE14-4A4F-AE4D-1824474C6672

Once thats removed, rerun our update which you can download separately from here:

https://store.serif.com/update/windows/designer/1/

And it should then install without issue :)

I've also edited your post and removed the log files as they contain your product key
