Publisher .305 refuses to close on request

Recommended Posts

Hi there!
Not really a big issue but: I can't close the app initially if any document is open.

Here is how to reproduce it:

  • Create a document of any kind and populate it with some elements.
  • Save the document.
  • Then change something.
  • Finally try to close the app by using the upper right X.
  • APub then prompts the question wether or not you want to save the changes.
  • But irrespective of you answer the app does not close (after having saved the changes).

Is it intended or a small bug?

Best,
Volker

Thanks for your report.

For me it closes if you say "NO" to saving changes, but (as you say) if you say YES to saving changes the application forgets to close afterwards (clearly Cancel is meant to cancel the app closure). We will report this to the developers.

Please can you confirm that you get no app closure even if you say NO to saving the changes? How many documents are open, where are you saving the file to? (local or network, cloud backed-up or not)?

Yes, you are right. It only refuses to close afterwards if I answer YES.

With two or more documents open APub only asks to save the active document. It neither closes afterwards nor asks how to deal with the other documents.

We believe this has been addressed in the latest (#371) beta build. Please retest this behaviour.
