[By Design] Affinity Photo Refine Selection mask not working

Hi Glenn, that is odd. Are the other refine image setting default?

If you are willing to upload the image here I'd be happy to try it and see if I get the same outcome.

IPad Pro 10.5/512GB   lpadOS 14.4 Apple Pencil (1st gen), Affinity Photo,  Affinity Photo beta1.9, Affinity Design 1.9.3, Affinity Designer beta 1.9.20, still waiting for Publisher for iPad

Thanks for the quick reply. I have set the app to the defaults from the file menu, although I’m still having the same problem. The image was exported from Lightroom CC where I store all my photos, and it’s a 2017 10.5” iPad Pro I’m using. 

I have included the image, so you’re welcome to try it, thanks!

Hi both,

This is not a bug. 

You have never applied the refine after you have used it. Once you use the refine selection tool, you have to apply it from the context toolbar at the bottom :) Otherwise, it will still use the original selection.
