The fact that it is red just means there is overflowing text and the frame is not yet linked.  If you can link the frame such that there is no content past the end it should turn blue.

How are you trying to link it that isn't working?  You should be able to click once on the triangle next to the eye then click on the other frame.

Oh thank you! I kept on trying by dragging the arrow to the next text box. I thought that's what the video tutorial said to do, but I went and rewatched it, and it didn't say drag, just to select. So my mistake. Thank you! Now how would I design a master to have a text box frame to perpetually link text frames to all the next pages so I can just type as if I'm typing a book?

I don't think you can do that.

But this should work:

1. Setup you Master Page with your Text Frame.

2. Apply that Master to a document page.

3. Type your text into the Text Frame.

4. When you go beyond the bottom of the frame, the link icon will turn red. Shift-click it and Publisher will create a new document page based on the same Master, and will put the overflow text into the new frame and switch to the new page where you can keep typing.
