Alfred
Check the Layers Studio. The picture must be on a Pixel layer: if it’s on an Image layer it will be treated as a single object instead of a collection of pixels, so cutting it will cut the entire picture. Nadar
Thanks Alfred Can I change the image layer in pixels layer ? > Another thing : how can I make the background transparent, see-through ? Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
DM1
In the layer studio menu there is the option to Rasterize. This converts the image into a pixel layer. The background will be removed. Depending on whether you have white or transparent set for canvas it will appear white or transparent as background (assuming no underlying layers. If you want to do it non destructively, select your main image, invert and refine Selection, and use the context menu, tap little triangle on right of menu, then select from dropdown menu Output 'New layer with mask'. This create a new layer consisting only of your selected image. Having a mask attached means you can paint on the mask using black to conceal and white to reveal any part of the new image. Non destructive. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Affinity Design 1.10.5 Affinity Publisher 2, Affinity Designer 2, Affinity Photo 2 and betas.
