"Open in Affinity" from Lightroom CC does nothing

Recommended Posts

I am planning to rely on Affinity on my iPadPro 12.9" for photo editing during a coming trip. My workflow was planned to include importing photos from my cards into LR CC, then editing the images in Affinity. But I'm finding that when I ask Lightroom to open an image in Affinity, nothing happens. I have waited and waited, thinking that perhaps the iPad was struggling with large RAW files, but even smaller files never open. Is this a known bug, or is it me?

Hi jlg84 :)

I've followed what I believe to be your workflow and I'm able to copy a RAW image from Lightroom CC to Affinity Photo and the image opens as expected. Please see my screen recording below -

Could you please either explain how your workflow or results are different, providing a screen recording if possible. If you're unsure how to record your screen you can find out here.

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Thank you for response, Dan C! I have done pretty much exactly as you did in your helpful screen cap video, so I decided to try to restart my iPad and see if that had an impact, and sure enough it now works fine. Not sure what had happened, but the old "did you try to turn it off and on again" approach did the trick.
