[Fixed] Text box fonts no longer carry to new text boxes

Recommended Posts

Prior to 1.7.0.293 if I created text with (say) the Comic Sans font and then started new text, that font choice would carry to the new text
Not so in 1.7.0.293. Now it defaults to Areal and one has to select and find the correct font again

Confirmations? And Yes there are work arounds such as duplicating the text then deleting the actual text and typing anew. but this is an apparent bug / regression

Thanks

Also, can't reproduce, can you verify the scenario? Maybe the path to this error is more complicated.

The problem described by Rick I can confirm.
I can in the customer version, the font to change  before the text input,
this is not possible in the Beta ....293.

Cheers

Indeed
Work around is to drag first and then change the font

@Rick G seems (to me) to be describing a problem with frame text (as he refers to "text boxes"). You're using Artistic Text, @Gnobelix.

I think you've found a bug, but I'm not sure it's the same one that Rick described.

It doesn't matter what kind of text is used whether Frame Text
or Artistic Text, the error occurs in both text types.

This was with regular good old artistic text. The issue pops up from time to time and I have yet to pin it down.

Right after the first "cannot confirm" messages I tried again and it worked perfectly. I do not think it is font related as I tried again with the same font that would not carry to a new text

Thanks for all the feedback folks!!
