How do I stop AD automatically from adding margins when I change a page from A4 to A3 when the original A4 had been selected not to have margins. It seems to default to adding margins.

Ideally I would like to set up AD to default to 'no margins' at all regardless of changing page size.

If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!

I think you've found a bug jackamus because when changing document size and margins not checked it will add them regardless of print dimension used.

in Affinity Designer Beta 1.7 the A3 template has margins selected by default, unchecking them resizes the document without margins. 1.7 beta has the Preset option now so just create a document and call it A3 - No Margins and use that from then on.

Should I report this as a bug even though AD1.7 has a preset for it?

I would report it, as it does not happen on Windows.

I'm glad to be of some 'positive' service as recently I have been a bit negative about AD.

Hi jackamus :)

Thanks for your report, this has already been logged against Affinity Designer, however I'm seeing similar results in the beta so I'll bump this thread with your report and inform our devs of this now!

Whats the latest in resolving this very annoying problem?
