[Cannot Reproduce] Crashing when starting the trial version

Recommended Posts

I am currently using the trial version of Affinity Designer.

Quite often it crashes when I start it up.

I then start it up again and it offers to continue the trial and I accept.

It then comes up with the black user interface.

Now, the thing is, when I use it I change to the grey interface.

So I am wondering is this crashing something to do with the trial, or something to do with trying to start up when the grey interface was used the previous time, or both, or whatever?

William

You may need to close the application successfully once before your change will be saved properly.

Hi @William Overington,

Any chance you can send us a screen recording of a crash in action? Does it always happen? Have you got Photo installed? Does that work fine?

Thanks,

Gabe.

Well, I just tried to do that. I closed down Affinity Publisher. It had been open for a while but I had not been using it. I then started it again and this time it did not crash but started up and mentioned the remaining time period for the trial and then started up with the light grey user interface, which is how it was when I closed it down.

If it does crash again I will try to do a Print Screen and post an image.

William
