Hi,

I would like to suggest adding 2 more colors next to those ones shown in the file attached to this post (reg. paper.png). They are:

  1. Registration color. It is used only for separation purposes and it is shown on all separation plates as 100% black even if you print more than 4 inks (CMYK + additional spot colors). So, there is no need for "Add registration color" in the hamburger menu because there is no need for additional registration colors. It must not be editable, so there is no need for "tint" and 'noise" options, too.
  2. [Paper] Color (InDesign). Characteristics:
            - it is not exported to PDF (and printed), and
            - it is used only for preview purposes. It simulates the color of the paper you use for your work just to see how the other colors match to it.
It can also be used for some "special effects" like breaking a frame (as shown in the broken frame.png in attachment). For example, you don't know how big area you should remove from the frame because of the length of the text in this case, and so you use white rectangle to cover the part of the frame which is OK if you use white paper. But, if you change the color of the background (paper color), suddenly the white rectangle becomes visible. The only solution is to use "paper color" and now you can freely change the background color and the frame will always be properly "broken". It must not be simulated with global colors, because they are exported to PDF.
