A = Geometry>Add

B = Boolean Add

In both cases the shapes were 2 triangles and a rectangle.

Why is there a white line between the triangle and the rectangle at one end of each only? These shapes were joined using 'Snap'.

I downloaded the file and it seems you did not have the rectangle and triangles really up against (touching) or snapping to one another, therefore the line. Here's a quick demo on how to eliminate that issue using both the Geometry>Add and Boolean Add methods. My snapping preset was set to "Object creation" - perhaps that was the issue?

Thanks for the video. I think the snapping preset was the problem.

Question:

Why should there a difference in snapping presets? Surely the reason for snapping is to tightly locate objects with respect to each other.
