jackamus
A = Geometry>Add B = Boolean Add In both cases the shapes were 2 triangles and a rectangle. Why is there a white line between the triangle and the rectangle at one end of each only? These shapes were joined using 'Snap'. ChrisP
I downloaded the file and it seems you did not have the rectangle and triangles really up against (touching) or snapping to one another, therefore the line. Here's a quick demo on how to eliminate that issue using both the Geometry>Add and Boolean Add methods. My snapping preset was set to "Object creation" - perhaps that was the issue? http://youtu.be/dZsW0Qr8Gos
jackamus
Thanks for the video. I think the snapping preset was the problem. Question: Why should there a difference in snapping presets? Surely the reason for snapping is to tightly locate objects with respect to each other. Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed! ChrisP
That's a good question - probably one for the developers. I don't quite understand it either. jackamus
