Removing White Background

Recommended Posts

I'd like to remove (make transparent) all the white background and keep the white for the gazebo, fence and the word "Craftsbury". How do I do that?

In APh make a selection of where it should only be applicable on and then "Filter > Color > Remove white background".

Alternatively, if you have a problem selecting the exact area, select it as well as you can, then create a mask. You can then fine tune the selection by painting onto the mask.

Yet another way very similar to what @v_kyr suggested is to use the Flood Select Tool in Add mode to select the background & the 3 open areas in the gazebo, & then press the Delete key. I did that using your first screenshot to make gazebo.afphoto, which includes the history so you can see how few steps it takes.
