Text Panel Size in mm

Recommended Posts

Hi! Im quite new to Affinity Publisher and just have a quick question: where can I see the width of a text panel in mm? I would like to set a text panel that is, for instance, exactly 80mm in size.

Also is there a word and character count feature? (like the information panel in Indesign?) This would help to determine whether the amount of character in a block text is ideal or too high / low.

Thanks!

You can look up the dimensions in the Transform panel or the Text Frame panel. Width and height in Transform panel, width only in Text Frame panel. There is no word or character count feature resp. I haven't seen one, but Publisher is full of miracles, maybe I have overlooked that. ;)

This was previously discussed in another thread and while some people seemed surprised that it was missing most of us deemed it superfluous for a page layout application and believe it is more appropriately in the domain of a word processor.

I am certainly not opposed to such a feature being implemented but I do think Serif has bigger fish to fry right now to get the first version of Publisher stabilized and out the door.
