walt.farrell
While experimenting with Find/Replace I noticed that if one clicks on the cog icon for the Find part of the panel and then chooses Paragraph Styles to find, the list of choices is quite limited. It is not possible, for example, to find text with the Bullet 2 style, or most of the other Publisher-supplied paragraph styles, nor any user-supplied styles. The list for Find should include only those paragraph styles that are actually in use (but at a minimum it must include all of those ) and the list for Replace should include all currently available paragraph styles. Here's the limited list I currently see for Find: -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Typo998
Hi @walt.farrell I've tried it and no problem on my side, do you try resetting the parameters?
walt.farrell
Sometimes it seems to show more styles than other times. And sometimes it won't show any. There's clearly something wrong. Here, for example, is what I see right now, in a document that uses at least 2 different paragraph styles, when I try to Find a paragraph style: -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Staff Gabe Posted April 26, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 26, 2019 Hi both, This seems to be a bug. For the meantime, the workaround is to cycle between the Paragraph and Text style panels, or to turn them on/off in the View > Studio section. After this, the F/R section should populate correctly. Thanks, Gabe. walt.farrell
