ashaapple Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I am unable to figure out how to make the color picker automatically become the primary color rather than the secondary color. I want to be able to color pick and then go right into drawing that selected color. I am trying to use affinity photo for digital painting and the ability to color pick and use that color quickly is essential for me.

Not completely true. You can click-drag with it and sample colors outside your document, and even outside AP.
