This linked to the following page, though I think that there was some tracking stuff in the page link I got that may relate to me, but the page without that is as follows. https://www.pantone.com/color-intelligence/articles/colors/behind-the-colors-relevant-trend-palettes-for-graphic-and-packaging-design So I downloaded the free items offered and found that I have two PDFs, which are interesting, and two .ase files and I am wondering about them. I have found that .ase files are an Adobe file type and I am wondering whether they can be used with any Affinity products. Something that often puzzled me about PagePlus was why, when Serif has Pantone colours in (some at least of) its products, that when Pantone has its twice a year fashion palette launches and gives free downloads of Adobe palette files already done, that there were never palette files for Serif products available. So could be discuss colour palette files and Affinity software please and maybe consider whether having free ready-to-use palettes made available by Pantone twice a year would be a good marketing policy. Staff DWright Posted April 10, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 10, 2019 You are able to import .ase (Adobe Swatch Exchange) files into the Desktop version of the Affinity apps To import them go to the Swatches panel, click the small menu icon on the top right of the panel and select Import Palette..., then the type of palette you want (document/application or system palette) and finally select the .ase file you wish to import. I have just done that with each of the two palettes and added each of them in as an Application Palette to Affinity Publisher beta and tried them out on the word Typography at 36 point using the Aldine401 BT font that was bundled with one of the Serif programs from the Plus range. William Overington Posted April 10, 2019 Author Share Posted April 10, 2019 I went looking for some more colour palette files on the Pantone website and I found the following page. https://www.pantone.com/color-intelligence/color-of-the-year/color-of-the-year-2019-tools-for-designers About 20% of the way down the whole web page at the right is a link to download what looks like one .ase file for one colour. In fact, I got six .ase files.
