Petar Petrenko Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 Hi, when I choose type sizes to be shown in other MU they are simply converted from points into the other one with decimal values (see converted in attachment). What I want is to have the same whole numbers as they are when "points" are selected (shown in type sizes in attachment) but with selected MU. For example: 5mm, 6mm... 12 mm... 14mm... 24mm... Allow us to enter (in "Preferences") wich numeric values for type sizes will appear in the list (like we had in FreeHand). Allow us to define our own MU. Something like: 1f = 0,2mm (one fifth equal to one fifth of milimeter). Alfred Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I’m sure this has been discussed before. Just as it can be useful to have 10.5 pt as well as 9 pt, 10 pt and 11 pt, it could be useful to have 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm. But what use are 6.4 mm and 7.1 mm?? Petar Petrenko Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 @Alfred I don’t like decimals, too. @walt.farrell I know this option and it is not what I am looking for. Please, read the post carefully. walt.farrell Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I thought I did read carefully, Petar. Sorry. I probably misunderstood what you meant by MU, and I should have asked. It took me a moment or three to figure out that MU means “measurement units”, but the main point Petar is making is that the point sizes don’t include decimals and the millimetre sizes shouldn’t include them either. MyUnit == 2,5 cm Grid/snapping/duplicate distance would be 2,5 cm (if one changes the unit ,it adjusts the grid and the distances automatically or not by personal preference) I think it shoud work by default, wheter they accept my suggestion or not.
