ReVerthex Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Firstly I did a quick search here to see if this is a new issue but I didn't find anything with this exact issue. When I create a document and turn on the grid for snapping everything works as expected until I change the grid type to isometric or oblique, etc. After doing so the snapping locations are misaligned to the grid, even if I change back to the default grid layout. Please see the attached screenshot. Affinity Designer Beta 1.7.0.284 Windows 10 Pro Version: 1809 OS Build: 17763.379
Staff Sean P Posted April 26, 2019 Staff Posted April 26, 2019 Hi ReVerthex, Can you try this in the 1.7.0.293 build and see if you still get the same behaviour please? Is the grid switching away from Isometric and back to a Basic grid? If so that is a known issue with development. Thanks
ReVerthex Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 Hi @Sean P I just tried it now again in a fresh scene in v1.7.0.293 the trouble seems to be coming from making multiple Artboards or moving the Artboard around. Affinity Designer 2019-04-29 09-10-00.mp4
Staff Sean P Posted April 29, 2019 Staff Posted April 29, 2019 Hi ReVerthex, Thanks for the video - I've reproduced it and passed it on to development. ReVerthex 1
Staff Patrick Connor Posted January 23, 2020 Staff Posted January 23, 2020 We have made fixes/improvements to Artboard grid display in the latest Windows customer beta. Sorry this issue has taken so long to get resolved properly. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below. The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts. Affinity Photo 1.8.0.532 for Windows Affinity Designer 1.8.0.532 for Windows Affinity Publisher 1.8.0.535 for Windows These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version. #when using beta builds, please work on copies of your files, as 1.8.0 uses a more advanced version of the file format than 1.7.3 Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.8.0 update/patch to all customers.
