Milne said of Winnie-the-Pooh "Pooh looked at his two paws. He knew that as soon as you have decided which of them is the right one, then he could be sure the other one is the left. But he never could remember how to begin." This is true just as much in one's dotage as in one's childhood. I have fixed the message above. Like this: There is no equivalent icon in the Mac versions when only one document is open, unless the Mac version is in separated window mode. This is because with just one document open in non-separated mode, the Mac close icon (a red 'traffic light' circle) on the top left applies to the entire workspace window, so clicking on it closes the entire workspace window, including the toolbars, docked studio panels, & the Tools panel if it is docked. The app is still running & the main Mac menu is still available, but nothing besides any undocked panels will be visible until the new or open items on the File menu are used. John Rostron Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 @R C-R. Once again I display my ignorance of the Mac and its differences from Windows. I don't think that I have ever laid hands on Mac. Aside from the window control icons being round buttons on the left (which you can see in many of the official Affinity video tutorials) the big difference is in the Mac UI all apps share the menu bar where the File, Edit, etc. menu items live. They switch as appropriate when the focus changes from one app to another, so for example the Affinity Select & Layer menu items appear when an Affinity app has the focus but not when a browser app does.
