tgckpg Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I can view my image with the builtin photo app. But when I opened it in affinity photo. It appeared as cropped. Also there's a white line on the left edge. Is this a bug? walt.farrell Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 I think it's unlikely that the Windows Photos app is showing you the raw image. It's probably showing you the embedded jpeg preview. Affinity Photo will generally show you more pixels of a raw image than other viewers show, as most viewers/developers will omit some set of edge pixels on all 4 sides, as suggested by the camera manufacturer. Photo does not omit them, as they sometimes contain useful information. Photo lets you crop them out if you want to, rather than throwing them away automatically. The claimed sensor size of your camera is 6016 x 4000 pixels, and Photo is giving you 6028 x 4024. That may help explains the white line. Without having the actual file, or seeing the complete image (as displayed by Windows Photos and by Affinity Photo) I'm not sure how to explain the appearance of cropping, but it's possibly the result of a lens distortion correction. tgckpg Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 The DNG is large. I am not sure if I can upload this here... Wait, I can upload up to 2GB!? Alrighty, here's the raw image. Hope this help. IMGP2804.DNG Update: Just found out that MOST of my images are cropped like this ( in Affinity Photo ). Only a few of them does not suffer this strange behaviour. Update 2: I can edit it with the builtin photo app without it being cropped. Quote Intel NUC Gen 8 i7-8559U, 32G RAM, Win 10 Version 1809 Build 17763.379

Dan C Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Hi tgckpg I've tested using your RAW file and I can confirm that turning off Automatic Lens Correction fixes this issue for you. I hope this helps! Quote
