Help Using AD Functions

I can never seem to get the ADD, SUBTRACT, DIVIDE, COMBINE functions to work right,

It looks as though you’re trying to ‘Add’ a short curve to bridge a gap in a larger one. You need to use the ‘Join Curves’ and ‘Close Curve’ commands for this.

You can add open* or closed curves, but you can only join curves if they’re open (because you’re joining the free ends, and a closed curve doesn’t have free ends).

 

*If any of the selected curves are open, the app will close them before adding them.

Thanks for trying to explain that for me. I kinda see what you mean, but I will have to play around with more scenarios to see if it all works and makes sense.

There aren’t really that many scenarios to consider. ‘Join’ joins the (ends of) curves, and ‘Add’ adds shapes together.
