webcat
I can never seem to get the ADD, SUBTRACT, DIVIDE, COMBINE functions to work right, can someone please tell me what I may be doing wrong or if it's something with the software settings? https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqfeDnZfQU

webcat
Also, here is an attempt with just me "creating" the paths: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqfYoIZuo7 "STILL" will not do right for me, maybe you can tell me what I've done or not done better with this example
Alfred
It looks as though you’re trying to ‘Add’ a short curve to bridge a gap in a larger one. You need to use the ‘Join Curves’ and ‘Close Curve’ commands for this. webcat
@>|< @Alfred So I "tried" to close curves, but I don't think that works either for me https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqfYDFZuFT

webcat
I guess I don't understand why I would break it, when I want it closed? But I will try it though

I dont get it, but it worked lol You can add open* or closed curves, but you can only join curves if they’re open (because you’re joining the free ends, and a closed curve doesn’t have free ends). *If any of the selected curves are open, the app will close them before adding them. webcat
Thanks for trying to explain that for me. I kinda see what you mean, but I will have to play around with more scenarios to see if it all works and makes sense.

webcat
@>|< @Alfred was trying to explain the "basis" of the functions to me, not just the particular subject I started the post about. But yea, I've copied everything "as you said" so it's cool. Over and out!
