Hi

I'm new to affinity designer. I usually work with Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw. I played around a bit with AD but I wasn't able to found out, hot to change a stroke from Point to Millimeter.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks a lot

Hi Ballato,

if you look in Preferences > User Interface, there is a checkbox for Show Lines in points. If you uncheck it, stroke widths should be shown in your document units (which you can set to mm from Document Setup).

You can also type, for example, "12mm" into any control and it'll convert to whatever the document units are.

Hi, CST,

The decimal display is set in "Preferences/User Interface." Once that is set to however many places you need, the Transform panel will allow you to view and enter the values you need. Note, if doing manual positioning, the transform panel will still display rounded values.  I've found that changing the decimal precision limit shows that nodes I've manually/visually positioned at 2000% zoom can be accurate to around +/- .003 MM.

The v 1.7 beta show improvements that can automatically be well under .01 mm

Note that is just for the display of numbers. Internally, Affinity is accurate to around 8 decimal places, so if you type in "0.01 mm" it will use that value regardless of what it displays.
