[Fixed] Assets panel not working - Beta 1.7.0.116

Recommended Posts

Hello

I cannot create assets on Beta version 1.7.0.116

Can someone please check if it's an issue with the beta version or I might be missing something? If I create a simple shape and drag it to the assets panel, nothing happens.

Thank you

Hi,

I can't get them in by dragging, whatever was selected also disappears from my file. I can add assets by selecting the item, then on the asset panel subcategory click the hamburger menu and choose Add from selection

It is strange, but here is what I did with v. 1.7.0.116 on Mac Sierra.   I selected the asset I wanted (in this case an image) and tried dragging it to the Assets panel.   You are right.   It disappeared from my file.   But when I did a Copy and Paste of the selected image, and then dragged that over to the Assets Panel, the blue bar appeared, which is correct.   The image did not.  But when I then clicked on the hamburger menu, and clicked on Add from Selection, the image asset popped right into place.   I was able to drag it out to the file to use, as an asset should.     Something is a bit odd, but Murfee's solution also works on my MAC.

I don't think it disappears, it's just out of the canvas space. Try Clip Canvas to see if it shows up.

So it seems to be an issue with dragging the assets to the panel.

You have to create/select a category before drag/drop from finder. Here it works fine with highsierra!

Yes there is definitely a problem in the last 2 updates, I can no longer drag and drop into my asset panel and have not been able to add any assets. I thought maybe I had reached a maximum limit or something, but it must be a bug. I'd love to see that fixed.
