Affinity Publisher .NET update

Recommended Posts

I have enjoyed using beta versions of Publisher for a while, but with latest update to publisher .exe file it says I have to update .NET framework. When I click on affinity installer to do so it after while brings up catastrophic failure for .NET update

I downloaded from the microsoft latest version of .NET to install and it after trying to install said I am already running latest version fine. I would love to continue testing Beta of Publisher but the installer will not recognise that already have the latest version of .NET installed.

Weird, but could anyone kindly please maybe help me as I would appreciate it loads :-) Thanks so much!

What version of Windows are you running?

(If Windows 10 what version/build number?)

Aswell as clarifying what Carl has said, did you download the 4.7.2 version from the Microsoft site?

It would be useful if you could run this and let me know what version it says you currently have installed.

You need .net 4.7.2, I think, and you only have 4.7.1.

Except for Enterprise or Edu, Windows 10 version 1709 is now end-of-life.

.NET version 4.7.2 is included in Windows 10 versions 1803 and 1809, therefore update to a newer version of Windows 10.

I don't know why it hasn't installed later versions.

Try going to Windows Settings > Update & Security, and clicking the 'Check for updates' button.
