ianrb
This is to about photo editing only . What do you consider the more useful Affinity texture brushes when editing nature / cloud / river photos ? So far; I have taken a similar and simple approach to Lr5 where there is one brush to do everything. One round brush >adjust settings to suit the job at hand. I have no idea so I am getting bit confused with the far too many ''arty'' brushes so I'm hoping you could suggest a few texture brushes that would have some occasional uses -- dodge and burn / masking sort of work with mostly . Any suggestions would be appreciated
firstdefence
I would same just use a brush appropriate for the job, which in most cases will be a simple soft round brush. If you have a specific look or effect you are trying to achieve then go for a textured brush, a point in case might be a mottled light effect, so dodging or burning with a brush that gives this type of effect would be acceptable. I'm sure you can think of brushes that could be custom made to fit your needs instead of using brushes that approximate what you want. Use square brushes if you want sharp defines lines, you can make a variety of brushes from square to trapezoid to lines and they could give you clean cut corners where a soft round brush couldn't. ianrb 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more...
