HSL picker/mousecursor with file BUG!

Recommended Posts

HSL picker do not work and mouse-cursor will disaapper from cnavas/workspace... (The cursor will appear back when select eg. the move tool, it seems that the picker will offset the selected tool, thats the reason for that part, but the to pick-up will still not work anymore). Well after restart and load this file, it works again, but my HSL is still looking strange, as i posted in the other threads.

Here is a file with history, maybe it helps.

Hi rodig0,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Thanks for your report. I've seen this a few times already but I'm not able yet able to reproduce it consistently. I believe it happens when you leave the HSL Adjustment open, switch to other app then back to Affinity Photo some time later. Seems like something you may have done?

It's the Picker button shown in the screenshot above.

Wondering if that should use an eyedropper icon and be moved to a different location in the window.

It is lined up with the individual colors which suggests that it uses the picker to perform an action similar to what the color buttons do but that is not accurate.

The picker actually has an effect on the dial at the top, while the colors that the button is currently lined up with act more like tabs.  Each of those colors (or the "all colors" one if you want to call it that) adjusts all of the other controls to impact a range of hues centered on that color.  The wheel above lets you adjust the range of hues assigned to that "tab", and the picker is a shortcut for adjust the color of the current "tab" - not for selecting a "tab".

The controls underneath the line of colors/tabs make adjustments to those parts of the image that are selected by the wheel.

I suspect the picker should really be located more closely to the wheel than to the line of color "tabs".
