walt.farrell Posted March 27, 2019 Share Posted March 27, 2019 As explained in the Help (here, for Affinity Photo, but it's similar for all the Affinity applications), you drag that icon over your screen to sample the color of the pixel you're over when you release the icon. That places the pixel's color into the well. You can then click on the well to assign that color to the fill or stroke of a selected object.
