If you changed a picture file, for example, APUB would automatically recognize the change and immediately update the target in the document. Now, it doesn't happen. I think that the Resource Manager will still show that a link needs to be updated, but the auto update and notification message no longer show up and the object does not get updated until you take further action (save and open the document or use the Resource Manager).
