reminous
Hi there, When I try to set a shortcut for a tool using SHIFT, or COMMAND I got a red icon saying it's not possible... it was possible before (as shown on the attachment), I could for example set the Blur tool to "SHIFT + R". Is that a bug?
carl123
I suspect the new option in Preferences > Tools... "Use shift key to cycle tools groups" Means you can't use the keyboard shortcut Shift key now for selecting tools To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

If modifiers are not permitted, how come the ‘Artistic Text Tool’ and ‘Background Erase Brush’ shortcuts in the screenshot include the Shift modifier? carl123
Maybe he exported and imported his already assigned shortcuts from the released product to the beta To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Staff MEB Posted March 25, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2019 Hi reminous, This was changed due to the option Use ⇧ modifier to cycle tools as carl123 pointed out. Modifiers are not allowed for tool's shortcuts anymore. fde101 1 A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
