Place an object at a specific place in a document

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I am kind of a newbie with Affinity and want to draft a document where I place an object at a specific point. The object should be 6mm high and 74mm width. Further the upperleft corner should be be 83mm from the top and 27 from the left side. Like this:

I now translated the MM to pixel (using 1cm = 37,79 pixel). So this means that the object is 22,76 pixel high and 279,68 pixel with and the left corner is placed 313 pixel from the top and 102 pixel from the side. However if I add the specs to the frame (see printscreen) and then print the doc it is not correct

Could anybody help me on what I am doing wrong?

Change the document set-up to mm/ Then you can do the entry in the transform studio as you like.  The object position is for the chosen dot in the transform studio grid-lette.

Hello marcvanderpeet12

Even if your document is in pixels, you can type the values in millimeters, AD will automatically convert the values to pixels.
