pamchao
Hi, so I have a weird issue. I purchased my Affinity Designer first on the Windows Store under my Windows sign on which apparently uses an outdated email address (that I don't have access to anymore). The Affinity Photo was purchased directly from the site with my current email address. I am looking to combine both accounts, but I'm not sure what would be the best way to do this. Do I have to repurchase AD? I can't sign on with my outdated email address and I'm getting ready to wipe my computer and reinstall my stuff and I'm worried that I can't access my AD. Thanks in advance for the advice. Maybe I'm just a dummy lol.
emmrecs01
Hi, welcome to the Affinity forums. You cannot combine your Windows/Microsoft Store Account with your Serif Store Account, simply because MS Store and Serif Store have no means of "connecting" your two accounts; the information held by each store is totally independent of the other. In your circumstances, I'm afraid your only option is to re-purchase AD from the Affinity Store, logging on to the store with your existing Affinity account details. Your email address is only used as a login name for your account. It shouldn’t matter that you no longer have access to the mailbox associated with that address (and if it does matter, that’s something you need to sort out with Microsoft rather than Serif). Staff SFurniss Posted March 25, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2019 As Alfred and Jeff have pointed out, It wouldn't be possible to move orders placed with Microsoft across to our company or vice versa but if you contact Microsoft they should be able to help you access your order. pamchao
Thank you for the reply. I figured that would be the case, but I was hoping it won't be an issue. Oh well. It's a worthwhile application. I'll just have to purchase it again.

Are Microsoft unable to help you access the copy of Affinity Designer that you bought from their store? That is, for example, you've lost the password and as you don't have access to the email you can't recover the password? Because if you have your Windows Store password, you should simply be able to signin to the Windows Store using that older identity (even though you can't access the email itself) to get access to the product.
