Nuth1n
Offsetting paths. Currently I've resorted to expanding the stroke, but the trouble of having to manually having to delete the inner nodes (especially on more complex shapes) can take up a lot of time. waveman777
Staff MEB Posted April 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted April 19, 2015 Hi Izzy, Thanks for your feedback. An outline/offset tool is already planned. The Expand stroke command will be revamped to give more precise results with a minimal number of nodes. Mr. Doodlezz
Yes please! :) Looking forward for both features and miss them very much, since I used them a lot while working with Illustrator. I know expand stroke is working, but as you already noticed far to many points after converting. Greetings Dennis
Kevin_M
Great news! One of my main feature requests (along with array).
Busenitz
Just noticed that offset / contour is not on the roadmap. I'm thinking it was there before? Hope we don't have to be content with the Expand Stroke workaround. :-( Oval
Fake Pilot
Anything new on this? Still missing offset path. Quote http://fakepilot.com
Staff MEB Posted August 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2016 Hi Fake Pilot, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) No, there's still no offset path yet. As a workaround you can duplicate the original object and use the stroke width of the duplicate to create offset objects from it.
