However, this only happens with some pictures. Probably depends on which live filters you use. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/75993-differences-when-opening-pre-170-afphoto-files-in-170106/&tab=comments#comment-396393 iMac 2017, 16 GB RAM, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB, MacOS Ventura 13.6.6 (22G630) - Affinity V2-Universallizenz

Staff James Ritson Posted March 25, 2019 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2019 Hi srg, this is most likely the Selective Colour adjustment. In particular, check your Yellows/Reds contribution as that has undergone a change for 1.7—I believe it was altered to better match the equivalent adjustment with imported PSD documents. This is a positive long-term change, but it does mean that selective colour adjustments made in 1.6 will look different. Generally speaking, you will find the sliders under the Yellows and Reds categories are more sensitive. E.g. if you had the Magenta slider set to 100% you should be able to achieve the 1.6 result by scaling it back a bit to around 50/60%. Hope that helps. That is a design flaw. It should automatically adjust the settings for imported documents from 1.6 to match the effect in the old version. ronnyb and lepr 1
