ReidParkinson
Mac OS 10.14.4 Suddenly Affinity won't open any of my jpg files anywhere on my Mac. I'm getting the message "The file could not be opened because permission was denied" It seems there is some global setting on the Mac I've inadvertently toggled but I don't know where to start to make the files "permissible" again. Can anyone help?
walt.farrell
Is it just jpg files, or are other image file types affected, too? ReidParkinson
It also won't open png files. It won't even open earlier .afphoto files I created earlier. Frankly, it won't open anything. I uninstalled Affinity, then downloaded and reinstalled it. Still no joy. It seems there must be some simple global setting somewhere that is causing this, but I don't know what it would be. Wosven
You can try to use the Disk utilities. There's an option for repairing the files' permissions. (I don't have a Mac to make a screenshot, sorry).
