Application UI not functioning for while after export operation

Recommended Posts

I ran into an issue when exporting Affinity Designer document to png or pdf. I'm using version 1.6.5.135 on Windows 10.

The problem occurs in a way that the menus or layers, for instance, cannot be activated by clicking. Main menu items become highlighted but the menus do not open. Layers cannot be switched on or off, and many other UI components are not functional normally.

The issue seems to last for approximately few minutes, and after spending some time in other applications, Affinity Designer seems to be working normally.

Any suggestion on how to resolve this problem?

Hi Jip,

Welcome to the forums :)

If possible could you please provide a screen recording of this happening on your computer along with a copy of one of the files in question?

Could you also please try creating a brand new file and place a single Quick Shape on it and see if you run into the same issue when you export that?

Thanks

Callum
