I've tried about 20 times to export this design and each time I select EXPORT AD just crashes!  I'm not sure what to do.  What a waste of time ;(

Any info on why this is crashing when I try and export would be appreciated.  Guess I'm going back to Illustrator.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

Serif do not sell an application that is non-functionsl for all users, and therefore this is not the normal experience for our users. So it is hard to say why you are experiencing this crash or what to do about it just yet. We will need more information, and  probably your file

So that we are able to investigate bugs thoroughly could you please follow this advice

  1. Are you using the latest beta build? I think we can assume that you are, as there has been no new releases recently
  2. Can you reproduce it? (It sounds like it so lets move onto Q3)
(if you cannot then we may struggle to also, making it even harder to fix)
  3. Does it happen for a new document? If not, do you have a document you can share that shows the problem?
  4. If you cannot provide a sample document then please give an accurate description of the problem for example it should include some the following:
  •    What application are you using? ( We have established it's Affinity Designer )
  •    What is your operating system and version (Windows 10, OSX Mojave, iOS 12 etc)?
  •    What happened for you, and what you expected to happen. (We have established it crashed. Do you have a crash report?)
  •    Provide a recipe for recreating the problem (step-by-step what you did).
  •    Screenshots (very handy) or a screen capture/video.
  •    Any unusual hardware (like tablets or external monitors or drives that may affect things) or relevant other applications like font managers or display managers.
  •    Did this same thing used to work and if so have you changed anything recently? (software or hardware)
