Affinity Photo for Desktop - Mac - crashing HELP!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've downloaded the trial of Affinity Photo for Desktop -  MacBook Pro (Retina Mid 2012) Mac OS Sierra 4 days ago.  Last night I performed a factory reset of Affinity as I had lost a toolbar.

Today, whether it is a coincidence or not, my programme repeatedly crashes on opening.  If it doesn't crash on opening, it crashes when I select New Batch Job from the File menu.

I have uninstalled & deleted the initial file dowloaded, gone onto the website & downloaded the file again & reinstalled but to no avail.

Help!  I was ready to purchase this but am now in two minds!

Many thanks.

Kaz

Hi Turbogirlie,

Welcome to the forums :)

Please could you try opening the app with the CTRL key held down this should make a Reset Menu appear please click Select All and then Clear. This should hopefully reset the app and allow you to get it open :)

Thanks

Callum

Hi Callum,

Many thanks for the warm welcome and suggestion.  I've managed to sort this by going into the library on my Mac & deleting everything associated with Serif.  I've then done a clean install of Affinity which seems to have sorted the problem.  :)  Looking forward to trying to process 158 photos taken yesterday now!

Cheers,

Kaz
