After I save an image and open the folder in which I saved it I don't see a thumbnail of the image. All I see is the affinity photo logo. I have a few that show a thumbnail of the image with the affinity photo logo located in the lower right-hand corner of the thumbnail. How do I get this to happen every time I save an image?

On my Windows (ver 8.1) when you create a new document in Affinity then save it, the thumbnail showing in File Manager is the Affinity logo not a thumbnail of the image.

To get the image thumbnail to show you must also close the document in Affinity, whereupon the image thumbnail is updated automatically. This only occurs the first time you save a new document.

Is this what you are seeing or something else?

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Thank you for that information. On my machine that doesn't work automatically. I have to refresh the folder then it changes to an image Thumbnail.
Thanks again...

If under "image" you mean Affinity source file *.afphoto, then Preferences, General, Save thumbnails with documents?

Or other "image" file, like png / jpg / tiff, so it is a matter of OS.
