I've watched the tutorials on soft proofing, however when I use the gamut check I get black areas in my photo. But in the tutorials the areas out of the gamut range are always greyed out. So what does blacked out mean? I'm using a printer profile I downloaded that a local Costco uses.

Thanks,

-Jeremy

Hi TheBestJeremy,

If you click Document>Convert Format/ICC profile and change the format from 32 to either 16 or 8 and then try soft proofing again, it should follow the tutorial and now show as grey.

Thanks stokerg, that worked. Is there a way to soft proof in RAW Develop Persona? I like to do all my editing in RAW and then develop and export without anymore adjustments. If I do any adjustments in Photo Persona they are minor tweaks or just some filter effect.

Thanks again
