Hi Folks,

I am a real newbie to Affinity so forgive my ignorance.

I have created a background in which I have created a text frame. Using Londrina Solid Font I have typed into the box. I seem to have an outline on my text, how do I remove that outline effect?

Looks like the view mode might be set to pixel, not vector.

Hi Nevyn907,
That's not an outline but the antialiasing smoothing the edges of the letters/shapes. Affinity Photo rasterises the view for screen so vector objects will appear pixelated the more you zoom in, similar to what other photo editing apps do. If you open the exact same file in Designer (in case you have it) the letters (and other vector objects) will be rendered/recalculated as vector objects (nor rasterised for screen) and the lines/edges will look sharp.

@gdenby,
Affinity Photo doesn't have View Modes as Designer.

Note that there's a related setting to control the antialiasing on vector objects (select an object, click the cog icon in the Layers panel, Coverage Map button in the top left) which does let you "remove" it but I don't think that's what you really want here.

Sorry, didn't notice the original file was .afphoto.

The Coverage Map control is currently only available in the desktop apps. Are we any closer to having it on iPad, too? ears.gif
