Hi. I need to prepare a document for offset printing using only two colours and I have some doubts:

- Is there a feature in AD similar to 'overprint' in Adobe Illustrator? That tells the printer when to print both colours one on top of the other and when to print only the top layer?

- Is there a tool that allows me to visualise the end result of my overprints? Like overprint preview does in Illustrator.

- If I switch to bitmap mode and use some brushes on the vectors can I be sure he wont change the pantones to CMYK colours? If I make transparencies or gradientes for instance.

Thanks.

Hi Asterisco,

Welcome to the forums :)

You can over print in Affinity Designer you can find a video for it here: https://vimeo.com/147846568

There is no print preview and I think if you switch to bitmap mode your colours will be converted to CMYK I'm afraid.

Thanks

Callum
