Support for Loupedeck coming?

Hi musicfed,

I'm not aware of any current plans to support Loupedeck and i believe we would need some form of API for them to access, so it may be awhile before we could look at supporting these kind of devices.

I'm interested in a device like this as well, perhaps something smaller than Loupedeck. All I really need are a couple of rotary encoders and buttons - something like this (still not shipping):

It would be nice if it were pre-configured for Affinity products, but if the device is configurable it may be possible to use it without Affinity intervention.

An alternative may be to use a 3rd party tool like AutoIt to do the integration. I haven't looked into this - do you think that's feasible (necessary technical expertise aside)?

All the Loupedeck profile does is save you the trouble/time of associating the varies controls with the application's functions. You are capable of setting up the Loupedeck CT to work with all or any of Affinity's functions. I just did it for Fast Raw Viewer, it takes a bit of time but it's not hard.

The profiles are nice, as are the fancy Icons, but not needed.

As for size, the CT is  only 14.5 x 15.5 cm - if it was any smaller it would be too cramped IMHO.

I'm surprised Loupedeck have omitted Affinity in their custom profiles

How about a YouTube video to show how to set up a Loupedeck any model for use with Affinity?

Not a tutorial, but perhaps useful:

Do you mean that I can manually create a profile that makes Loupedeck consoles working with Affinity Photo?

Unfortunately the link to Photo refers to Designer; not able to find very useful info…

The page title does say Photo, though some of the text refers to Designer. The download links seem to point to files for Photo, so you might give them a try.

As far as you know their individual in JSON file format used namings & settings entry format. - Those *.lp4 files are just zip-files with an "lp4" extension, when you open them as an ZIP, you will inside find some "ProfileInfo.json" (a XML-style text file) with the definitions inside.

It would be amazing if Affinity allowed remote control using websockets, this would allow plugins for stream deck loupedeck and many more controls to be created. This way, the user could access a command directly even if there isn't a shortcut assigned. Also this is independent from the keyboard language.

Please consider this feature, even better creare a plugin for loupedeck and stream deck. This will encourage more users to adopt affinity products
