Is there or could be interesting to have the area of a shape or polygon automatically calculated in the ‘transform’ panel, together with the now existing position and size?

thanx!

Hi eluengo,

This question has come up before here.  We don't currently have a way to see the area of a shape/polygon in Designer.

I can get this moved over to Feature Requests if you like :)

yes

I think is an interesting characteristic when using AFD for home and garden applicatiins, and for surfaces distribution when curating expositions, also can be a help in distributing elements when in Publisher formatting some type of books (I’m sure this capability will be accesible for every app in the Affinity Suite)

Thanx

Emilio

I agree that area calculation would be most useful. I currently keep a separate spreadsheet with shapes and dimensions and calculate that way.

A related question is whether you can apply a scale to a drawing so you can work in actual dimensions of, say a garden layout, rather than the dimensions that fit on paper.
