Thought I would share this project with you all.

I don't mean to tread on anyone's political leanings; I just wanted to share the project for whatever it's worth (This + ~~$1.50 will get you a cup of coffee):):14_relaxed:;-)

Hmmm, Is this a political endorsement for Trump?

If so I protest and hopefully the mods here will shut down any and all any political endorsements for 'any' politics.

This forum is about the Affinity apps, not a message board for political leanings ... within the guise of "Look what I've done with the app'

:(

Quite the opposite, Peter! An endorsement for Trump would be ‘Vote Red’ (Republican), not ‘Vote Blue’ (Democrat).

Point noted PedroOfOz; you will not see any "political" content from me again.

Thanks for the clarification Alfred

You’re welcome, Paul, but I don’t understand your ‘confused’ reaction to my post!

My apology to @PAULRFONTENOT

In this part of the world (Australia and New Zealand) it's the opposite ... the conservative right is blue hence why I thought the post was Trump supportive :)

Yes, it’s the same here in the UK. :)

Alfred, I was not confused by what you had to say, just confused about the polarity of the reception that my post had amongst the people who reacted to it.

@PAULRFONTENOT  I meant no disrespect Paul.

Increasingly our planet is becoming more polarised (and hostile)—the growth of nationalism as one example, the current political and religious hostility between India and Pakistan another example.

I personally feel both politics and religion have no place in forums such as this ... because of polarising ideologies.

Of course that's my view, the mods here decide on what is and what's not acceptable postings :)

IMHO A link to work made in our applications is not to be judged on its politics, but on its techniques. In this forum you should all look past any message and see the effort involved. Actually posting an image is more challenging in terms of moderation and community, but really the same concept of the free speech of creativity should hold true.

For example on the forums for our previous products, customers regularly posted links to their websites, asking advice. They expected "You have used too many fonts or overly bright colours". They didn't expect "how dare you post a link to your church/gun club/political party/fringe cause"

Whether or not we like/agreed with the use the software is put to, the way it is used can be discussed civilly
