dtpunger
Even in version .257 Publisher shows a strange behaviour in changing from default to old-style figures. In one font the old-style figures only show completely after having typed the letter 'f'. In another font a four-digit number only turns to old-style figures after having type the letter 'c' (see screenshots).
kenmcd
What fonts are used in your examples above? Are the default figures in those fonts the lining figures? How have you applied the old style figures? In the paragraph style?

Default figures are the lining ones, and for activating the old style figures I usually use the typography panel. But anyway, this feature should run more robustly. kenmcd
There must be something else going on here. I tested with Kis Antiqua Pro, Rhythmus Pro, and Bookmania. Had no problems with old style figures with any of them. Perhaps you could make a short video to show the Affinity guys what is happening. walt.farrell
It might also help if we could have a copy of a .afpub file that demonstrates the problem. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
dtpunger
Affinity Publisher .337 on the Mac. Also in this version the issue continues with the fonts mentioned above. I wonder because in both Designer and Photo these fonts, with oldstyle figures activated, run absolutely normal.
